THE NEXT OBVIOUS THING

We cannot turn into what we need by remaining what we are and thus I
say, we as the youth should not be labelled as ‘leaders of tomorrow’.As long as tomorrow comes after today, just as today follows yesterday, things will just be the same in as far as leadership is concerned in Malawi.Youngsters, certainly tomorrow will be different from today. The world is on the move, it is consistently different from yesterday as of today and tomorrow will surely command another dimension.Youngsters, we may feel uncomfortable to venture into leadership…well, it isn’t wrong, it’s just different and thus the change we needbecause ultimately Malawi is bound to bask in the triumph of peace, tolerance, clean-politics, freedom and national prosperity under the umbrella of youthful leadership.Guys, change reliably represents both feasible opportunities and potential losses. This we must know and never let the older cohort take advantage of to capitalize on the ‘potential losses’ school of thought just for them to hold on to the leadership positions.“We as the… under the outstanding, wise and dynamic leadership of….Subscribe to the view that even though all progress brings change, not all change brings progress. These youngsters are just proponents of change for its own sake and to us, this is none other than a characteristic of restlessness and personal inner conflict…” the so called political gurus ‘of now’ (yet in bald heads, grey hairs or dyed in black) would doggedly, continuously and shamelessly dominateairtime on the state broadcasters just to sell their selfish propaganda. To these, let it be known that change will happen whether you like it or not because without change there is no improvement.Fellow youth, make a commitment to pay the price for change. Change must happen within you before it happens around you. Tell you what,it’s never too late to turn the tables… accept the challenge guys!
