RUN THE SHOW

Hey, dudes and shorties, what’s cooking folks? Just a reminder that we have to ride high, fly and be proud of being young because one most exciting thing about being a young person, for sure, borders on dynamism and flexibility. For once, some old school buddies managed to corrupt my mind emphasizing that youthfulness is merely about living a tattooed life…you know what I mean!? A tattoo life is one that is simply branded on you and each day spent goes with the hype of attaining that brand. This kind of life, fortunately in the opposite, restricts our horizons to realizing the best prospects our lives have in store for none but ourselves.
Without mincing a word or two, you are the best in your own muscle plus self; apart from guidance and perfection, the rest those formulating your parameters can do is support and encourage you to man the engines of your prospects and choice in the lane that leads to the championing of your destiny.
However, most of us are easily diverted either because of parental (seniority) guidance or peer hurricanes. For instance, some young folk are bulldozed into becoming police officers, soldiers, pastors and journalists simply because seniors in their blood line were or are in that field. At the end of it all, reality sways you and me to discover that some bulldozed police officers have the best potential into becoming vendors…oops, business people I mean, soldiers might be better pastors whilst those ushered into journalism would better fit as newsmakers in the dailies or Nkhani Zam'maboma.....or both may be, why not!!?
Of course to the extreme in the opposite, which is reality too, some manufactured police officers would make just what the court condemned into criminals, soldiers sound guerrilla fighters or pirates, pastors would be just the thing in deep spiritual and biblical malnutrition whilst those pasted into journalism would be paramount scavengers masquerading as freelancers hunting for khaki envelops from hotels to motels.
Hate it or love it, the fact remains that it is up to you to determine your own destiny. Forget about whatever your ancestors were capable of…because you are your own person!
Tell you what; being young is not all about absorbing seniors’ frustrated dreams or living to pursue their prospects but it is all about self breakthroughs and that is where flexibility and dynamism fits in. Guys, be conscious of your priorities in life by modifying and furnishing paths leading to the consciousness of reality crowning our cause and aspirations. All this demands responsibility, a central element in the realization our individual prospects as youngsters.
