One common denominator about the two young fellas is that they are
material for front page news. For what reason? This question could be
best reserved for another day altogether, otherwise news is news, be
it good or bad.
That Atupele is fast becoming a hot-shot in political circles is a
fact. That he is a special brew kind of young political figure cannot
be overemphasized. Actually Atupele has taken his time to pimp himself
politically. Another fact is that there are so many young people in
Malawi who have potential like Atupele or beyond but they are either
afraid or resource-less forgetting that the greatest resource is the
brain.
Atupele’s agenda for change has come at the right time when calls have
made rounds for political parties in the country to upgrade their
rusty software. It is no surprise that the United Democratic Front
(UDF), the party that grew and bred this young man, is reluctant to
upgrade its operating system to accommodate a dynamic product like
Atupele. Popcorn politicians at work, advancing archaic systems! All
the best Mr. Young Muluzi, the journey has just started, keep your
head up!
Jumani. This dude is a headline material for mixed reasons. The
deportee hasn’t made his interest in political circles loud but that
possibility cannot be ruled out if his domestic errands are anything
to go by. This founding president’s son wonna-be has, to his best,
sold his name… there are so many Jumanis in the country but seriously
his name tops them all. Nice strategy dude but alas, the 2014 race
might be a little too near for you, try later!
And for curiosity’s sake, don’t you think the kid Mutharika, not the
Professor; I mean Madalitso, the only son on the Ngwazi Jnr, should be
on his marks to get ready for 2014 and grab some seat in the Ndata
land? Lol, Malawi and presidents’ sons… youth and reality at work.
