THE ECLIPSE OF POSITIVES

Some Malawian youth are so stunning and charismatic that their art and
skill can ably sway hearts and souls of people from across the globe.
Simply, several youngsters in the country are just wow!
But there are scores of great young talents whose positives have been
eclipsed by a cross-fire of all sorts of negative hearsay and
allegations. Suffice to say, they are not pure just as any of us is…
and honestly, everyone deserves to live their life subject to their
individual relationship with God. Some youngsters has been hammered
with sarcastic judgment from left, right and centre by us, the
earthily jury, thus overtaking the very spiritual belief that God is
the paramount judge of every human-being.
We all have a share of our shortfalls but in a truly Malawian fashion,
we are often vibrant in amplifying deficits of others. Some of us even
take pride in seeing others tumbling down with misery in their life
and yet we tout ourselves as believers who day in day out say prayers
to the Lord Almighty.
Hate it or love it, ability and quality have to be weighed
independently otherwise we will keep bleaching incredible youthful
talent by negatives which we disappointingly value.
Fellow youths, let’s turn the tables and live up to the very issues
that our beautiful national anthem denounces (envy, jealous et al).
There are a number of youngsters whose lives have turned into a bunch
of misery; others have even taken away their life, because of
amplified negatives. This has tortured so many young minds
psychologically thereby intoxicating their individual focus of living
a meaningful, successful life and sinking them into useless nobodies.
Youngsters, learn to appreciate positives of others for a better
Malawi and let’s be instrumental in giving hope to victims of
circumstances so that their positives continue to flourish. Think
positive and let’s build each other, we can make a difference!
