AFTER JULY 20

Unfolding news and events across the domestic political and social
landscape are an exceptional and energizing moment... Yes they are.
Reason? The younger generation has spoken frankly and
straightforwardly about the ills bullying mother Malawi’s democracy,
rule of law, human rights and economic suffocation.
The young Malawians have defied their regional and tribal frontiers to
jointly and proudly stand up and save the state of affairs. The chorus
of the youths chant is that of calling for a Malawi whose leadership
is accountable and the citizenry that has a common consensus on issues
of national interest. People of this generation rebuff handouts aimed
at derailing their straight minds. Malawi needs competent people
capable of steering the country forward in all positive spheres.
This generation is tired of a crop of leaders who often say sensible
and comprehensive things outside the box only to betray the voters
when put into power as their lifestyle centres on extravagance of
public funds, formulation of barbaric laws, introduction of heavy
taxes, raping the supreme law of the land and so arrogant to take
productive criticism on board.
Young people are seeking to serve mother Malawi diligently for a
better nation. Enough of the narrow and shallow leadership! To the
senior age group, listen to the youth; do not be tempted to steal
everything from them because ultimately, it means you’re stealing the
prospects of these young fellows. Time is so gone to systemically
oppress and silence the youth....NOT in this 21st Century!
Think, realise, reason and compromise for the betterment of our
beautiful country. No need to beat about the bush, Malawi’s young
people can, will and are so competent and skilled of bailing out the
country from current political, social and economic misery.
All in all, what lies behind us and what lies before us are little
substances compared to what lies within us. God bless Malawi.
