HALF FULL IS HALF EMPTY
Some things are made complicated in life out of the non-acceptance
attitude which nakedly denies most of us the courage to accept the
very obvious. That a coin has heads and tails stands hence the need to
accept/acknowledge if one knows more about the other side and utilize
the same platform to articulate the remaining side. In the same vein,
a cup half full is equally half empty. If this approach were to be
taken by most of us youngsters, this nation would surely be a better
place because that highly touted tomorrow of our leadership is now.
That leadership is more of a vocation is a point, and that this is the
time for young people to partake in the leadership cake cannot be
underestimated. Actually, the EMPOWERMENT OF YOUNGSTERS in political,
social and economical spheres has to be underlined in bolded magnified
capital letters.
Guys, lets search ourselves inside out and hatch the much needed
intra-personal honesty. This inner frankness and acceptance is
proving to be a virus that has rendered most of our seniors venerable
to the filthy, stubborn and self-centred fashion of politics. No-one
is perfect, we all contribute to perfection and that is where the
drive to make critical compromises that result in optimism arises.
Knee jerk reactions won’t take the country anywhere. It is time
leaders humbled themselves and fit into tattered shoes of a man on a
bus to Chitipa/Nsanje to get a real life experience of situations that
millions in Malawi are gnashing their teeth on.
When these millions speak, it’s not that they are speaking in tongues.
Some leaders are too deaf, pompous and quick to lash out than to
facilitate the provision of needed bridges of communication for the
ordinary person to feel part and parcel of the system. Youngsters, we
see the missing links, lets capitalize on the same…this is a roll call
on snoring ballots.
